Email notifications

Bidderops sends email notifications to keep your team informed of key activity on opportunities — deadline approaches, stage changes, and team updates — without requiring anyone to keep the app open.

What gets sent

Three categories of notifications are available, each configurable independently:

CategoryTriggered by
Deadline remindersSubmission, Q&A, and award deadlines approaching your configured lead times (e.g. 7, 3, and 1 day before)
Status changesAn opportunity moves to a new stage (e.g. from Preparing to Submitted)
Notes & team activityA new note is added, or a team member is added to or removed from a bid

Delivery options

Each category can be set independently to:

  • Off — no emails for that category
  • Immediate email — sent within a few minutes of the event
  • Daily digest — batched into one email per day, sent at your chosen hour

Setting your preferences

Go to Settings → Notifications to configure your preferences. These are personal — each user sets their own preferences independently.

  • Choose a delivery mode per category
  • Set your digest hour (0–23, in your account timezone) for when daily digest emails are sent
  • Set reminder lead times for deadlines — for example 7, 3, 1 sends reminders 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before each deadline

Per-opportunity overrides

Each opportunity has a Notifications block in the right-hand sidebar. From there you can:

  • Mute the opportunity entirely — you receive no emails for it regardless of your global settings
  • Override delivery mode per category for just that opportunity

Overrides are also personal; muting an opportunity for yourself does not affect your teammates.

Good to know

  • Notifications are generated for opportunities you are involved with in your organization; a muted opportunity generates none for you.
  • Immediate emails are dispatched within a few minutes of the event, not instantly — events are processed in short batches.
  • Digest emails are only sent when there is something to report; a quiet day produces no email.
  • If you stop receiving emails, check your spam folder first, then confirm your preferences in Settings → Notifications and that the opportunity is not muted.
