Chat assistant

The chat assistant is an AI copilot that lives in a side panel on every page of the app. Open it with the chat button in the top bar or with Ctrl/Cmd + J; press Esc to close it.

The assistant knows which page you are on — ask “what’s overdue here?” on the pipeline, or “summarize this bid” inside an opportunity workspace — and it can use tools to answer from your real data: listing and inspecting opportunities, upcoming deadlines, pipeline metrics, loss retrospectives, and (when the modules are included in your plan) discovery inbox searches, experience and personnel searches, and the AI features such as go/no-go advice, RFx analysis, capability match, pipeline reports, and bid intelligence.

Write actions need your approval

The assistant can also make changes — create or update an opportunity, add a note or milestone, record an outcome. These tools are only available to editor roles (owner, admin, bid manager), and the assistant never executes them directly: each proposed action appears as a card in the chat with the exact values it wants to write, and nothing happens until you approve it.

Conversations are saved

Every conversation is stored with your organization’s data, not in the browser. Navigating around the app, reloading the page, or coming back the next day does not lose anything:

  • The panel automatically resumes your last active conversation when you reopen it.
  • The history icon in the panel header lists your recent conversations — pick any of them to continue where it left off.
  • The plus icon starts a fresh conversation; the old one stays in the history.

The assistant reads the recent history of the active conversation on every reply, so it remembers what was said earlier in that conversation.

Configuration

In Settings → AI an admin chooses the model that powers chat, and can rename the assistant and give it standing instructions. Chat access per role and daily message caps are covered under Access controls & limits.
